STEM in Me Advance Course | STEM and Robotic Class
Give your children the opportunity to participate in Physical Computing projects in affordable STEM and Robotic Class delivered by Experienced Engineers! Increase their interest in Science, Mathematics, Technology and Engineering which are the key knowledge for future high impact careers. Children will learn and explore electronic hardware and software programming through solving day-to-day problems.
Especially relevant in STEM and Robotic Class children will learn about the development of electronic component like Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and software programming like Blockly, Scratch, Mixly and C language. Children will explore, create and develop innovative projects with critical and systematic thinking. With Blockly, Scratch, Mixly (graphical based programming) learning programming is less complicated but much more interesting.
Choose from various different levels that suits children interest and experience with electronic hardware and software programming. Most noteworthy children WITHOUT any previous exposure to STEM or Robotic Class OR children WITH previous exposure to STEM and Robotic Class will have something new to learn and would be able to enjoy it at their own pace.

STEM in Me Advance Course | STEM and Robotic Class Projects
Level 2 – Advance Pass
In the STEM and Robotic Class, coaches will first introduce to the student the definition of STEM education. Then general approach of STEM education and the unique approach of STEM in Me in delivering STEM education. After the introduction, coaches will explain the day-to-day problem that student is going to solve.
Next, coaches will explain how technology devices is built using electronic hardware and software programming. For a start, coaches will introduce Arduino, an open source electronic hardware suitable as a STEM education tools and for use in STEM and Robotic Class.
Then for selected projects, coaches will introduce Mixly, a software graphical programming language suitable as a STEM education tools and for use in STEM and Robotic Class. Mixly helps young people learn to think creatively and reason systematically and it being a graphical based software programming language, helps introduce student to programming easily.
For other selected projects, coaches will introduce Arduino software platform, an open source programming language based on C programming language that enables young people learn to think creatively and reason systematically.
Student will finally discuss and integrate all the electronic controller, power source, sensors and output trinket. Then with guidance student will programme different control logics and operation parameters to complete device prototype features. Thereafter, student assemble using building material to build the device prototype of the problem solution device.
Finally, student will operate and test the device prototype to meet the solution of for the day-to-day problem. Student is then given the opportunity to try different building assembly, sensors and output trinkets and control logic to modify the device prototype features for a better solution.
As a conclusion, there will be presentation and game challenges for each student to proudly demonstrate their device prototype.
Advance (Level 2) : Smart Terrarium
[Smart Terrarium: that we often would like to have living plants inside our house but wants the plant to get sufficient lights and water like the natural environment. Student will brainstorm for a device that can be a solution to this problem. Students’ brainstorm will finally conclude to build a device like a smart terrarium device]
Then, coaches will explain how electronic hardware and software programming technology devices and their features. Coaches will introduce Arduino board, a compatible open source electronic hardware suitable as a STEM and Robotic education tools. Student will learn about electronic controller, power source, mechanical sensor (switch), soil moisture sensor, light sensor, buzzer output trinket, water pump output trinket and LED strips output trinket.
Concurrent with the introduction to electronic hardware, coaches will introduce Mixly, a software graphical based programming language suitable as a STEM and Robotic education tools. Mixly helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically and work collaboratively. Besides that it being a graphical based software programming language, helps introduce student to programming easily. Student will learn the basics of Mixly and all programming blocks, and libraries for enhance control logics. Student will also learn to read from mechanical sensor (switch), soil moisture sensor and light sensor and actuate buzzer output trinket, water pump output trinket and LED strips output trinket that are connected to Arduino board.
Students will finally discuss and integrate all the electronic controller, power source, sensors and output trinket. Then with guidance students will programme different control logics and operation parameters to operate and fulfil the complete device prototype features. Next students start to assemble using building material to build the device prototype of the problem solution device.
